“Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity. Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, And to those who are upright in their hearts. As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The Lord shall lead them away With the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!”
Psalms 125:1-5 NKJV
Unmoved
There is nothing more steadfast than one trusting in the Lord. People will fail you, there is no lasting relief in wealth, politicians seek after their own gain, but the Lord God almighty is constant, like Mount Zion.
I speak as one who has been given knowledge by example. I sit, broken and weak, but eternally strong, for my future is with the Lord and even now I abide in Him. Through the Lord, I have great endurance, able to see each day with devotion and rejoicing. I shall not be moved.
Like the children of Israel, who are my examples, I am a city that whose maker is God. No matter what I may face, I know the Lord is with me.
“There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah”
Psalms 46:4-7 NKJV
Reading Psalm one hundred twenty five, I am reminded that my strength is in the Lord. Through His word and by His Spirit, His righteousness is always with me, for all has been granted to me through Jesus.
Through Him I have been made righteous, and all the power of heaven has been shown on my behalf, giving me the power to live as a reflection of Jesus in this wicked world. I have God for me, God with me, and God in me.
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
II Peter 1:2-4 NKJV
Those of us who have been saved by the blood of the Lamb, have been given a new life, one not bound by sin. When we do sin, it is by our own volition, for through the power of the resurrection we have the ability to resist. There is no excuse.
As there is great reward in walking with the Lord, there is penalty for turning away, for we risk the loss of our position with the Lord. We cannot lose our salvation, as some suppose, but we do lose out on the inheritance, the reward the awaits those who constantly seek after the Lord.
Brothers and sisters, because the Lord has proven His faithfulness to us, let us be diligent to live our lives faithful to the Lord. Let us go into the wicked world, not of it, but as ambassadors of God to it. Let us go and share the Good News, the story of the love of Creator God, who sent His only begotten Son to live as one of us, sans His glory, to be humbled, to be rejected, and killed for our sins.
Let us live as those who have been saved, demonstrating that we have an inheritance that is not of this world, that we are to receive and unshakeable kingdom, and that regardless of what comes, we will not be moved.
“Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”
Hebrews 12:27-28 NKJV
I tell you the truth, much will be shaken in the coming days, and many will be looking for answers. May we be ready and able to share, walking in righteousness and security, telling all of this Jesus. Let the Gospel be our primary message. Lest we forget:
“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,”
I Corinthians 15:1-4 NKJV
There is great darkness coming, but the Lord has already delivered us from it, through the sin cleansing power of His blood.
If you are one who has been led away and feels far from God, know there is power in repentance, for the Lord is near, even we are far away. Seek Him today, for He had the power to deliver us from darkness. #
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
Colossians 1:13-14 NKJV

What a great reminder of our amazing redemption! Thank you, Bernie!! Will you please continue to pray for the 20 something couple that we are doing Bible studies with. As we progress in our studies, it appears the young man may not be saved. Will you pray with us that the Lord will save him please? Thank you my friend! I deeply appreciate your help in ministry.
