Perfect peace

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Perfect peace

The puzzle pieces keep falling into place, as the staging of these end times is being completed right before our eyes. There is upheaval everywhere, and it seems as if peace is being snatched from the world. Our planet has become ever smaller, with every horror in one part of the world being reported in another. I awakened during the night with a BBC news story about the Maquoketa Caves murders.

Horror is mounting upon horror, as our headlines are filled with unspeakable crimes, unheard of in their frequency. It would be easy to take all of this in and find oneself completely overwhelmed, dreading even waking for the next day.

But we can have peace.

Many things are on the horizon, and the Lord is informing those who trust in Him. He has given us His word, the completed revelation of God, and there are no mysteries as to what is going to happen next. More than this, we know what will happen in the end. The only concern we have is how we are going to get there from here.

In my moments of struggle, when the darkness of this world seems to be pressing in, I go to the end of the Book and find the joy I need to sustain me. The Lord is always faithful to bring reminders to mind, for He knows that we are easily dismayed.

“He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
Revelation 22:20-21 NKJV

As the planet seems to be careening toward the abyss, I cling to the things of God, seeking that perfect peace. I have found that it has become easier to focus on the Lord, for His Holy Spirit has free rein in me, guiding me daily with whispers, rather than shouts.

I go to the Lord early, as is my habit, beginning my day with worship, Scripture and prayer. I make this a priority, even on days when I have appointments. On those days, I get up all the earlier to make sure I have time with God.

In the stress of these times, perfect peace can only be found with God. There is nothing else in this world that can deliver.

Brothers and sisters, let us make it a priority keep our minds stayed on Jesus. As we keep our minds stayed on Him, we can have peace. Perfect peace comes from being in synch with our Creator. Being in synch, means being in HIs word. The word is like an X-ray, examining us completely, looking for things that can cause us to stray.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
Hebrews 4:12-13 NKJV

Let us endeavor to cling all the more closer as the horror of this dying age will become all the more frightening. The world in which we live has no answers, and only the Lord knows the true heart of man and the ultimate destiny.

The Lord is waiting to give to us the wisdom we need to get through whatever May come!

“My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭2:1-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  1. Like you Bernie, I am so deeply grateful for the comfort from the great comforter, the Holy Spirit. God is so good!

2 Thessalonians 2:6 (ESV) And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time.
