Ride

“Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee As you fled from the earthquake In the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the Lord my God will come, And all the saints with You.”
‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭14:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:11-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Ride

There are mornings when I awaken to a emotional darkness behind my eyes, encompassing my mind and giving me an underlying sense of dread. I listen to the BBC on my phone during the night, and from time to time, I awaken to some news of dire events on the other side of the world. This morning, the news was filled with concerns for a new variant of our modern day plague, beginning to spread, that maybe far worse than the delta.

Then there is the news of all the evil being done in the world, of innocents being starved, neglected, driven to fleeing, tortured and murdered. It can seem all too much at times.

In God’s great kindness, He has given me His word. Yesterday, I was reminded of that great Marriage Supper to come, and this morning I was reminded that the Lord does care, and soon Jesus will come to make all things right.

Often the Lord reiterates to my mind several times in a morning of reading from the Word, as if to make sure I see what it is He has for me. This morning I read in Zechariah of the coming of the Lord, of His return to take on the Antichrist and his armies of darkness. In the closing of my reading yesterday, and in Revelation 20 today, Jesus filled my heart with a sense of victory, pushing away the darkness. He is coming again!

Hold on!

We saints of Jesus, will mount up with the angels and come storming back, to bring justice. Those who have been persecuted, those who have been maligned, mistreated, and murdered will come riding in glorious formation, lead by by the Lord. The antichrist and the false prophet will be cast in to the lake of fire, and those who follow him will be defeated, rendered carrion for the birds of the air.

Then Satan will get his…

“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.”
Revelation 20:1-3 NKJV

The evil one, the liar from the garden, will one day have no more sway on the hearts of man. He will be locked away for a thousand years, only to be released for one more defeat before being cast into the lake of fire.

What a world that will be.

Brothers and sisters, let us be sustained by the visions set forth in the bible of the times to come. May we have a sense of certainty in the uncertain times. Our God is faithful and all that He says will be done, will be done. Those who are clinging to the Lord in these perilous days, have the confidence of knowing that there will be victory in the end.

Let us look forward to that great ride, being about the Father’s business, leading the lost to Jesus, building that great cloud of witnesses that will one day return with the Lord.

Let the future be our incentive in the here and now, as we press on to be faithful to share the Good News!

We are entering the Christmas season, may we approach it like it is our last Christmas, being sure to represent Jesus, telling of the great salvation and telling every one who will hear of God’s great love. Let us also demonstrate that life in Christ, and His love to those outside the household of faith.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 NKJV

“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,”
I Corinthians 15:1-4 NKJV

Be ready to mount up, my people!

Have a Fabulous Friday! Jesus is the reason for the season!
