“Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.”
Revelation 17:1-6 NKJV
Whore
Just when you think this world can not be any more cruel, another thing happens that shakes our consciousness to the core. The other day a man, for some unknown reason decided to drive his SUV through a parade, killing five people and injuring 48 others. That was just one notable act of cruelty, in a world where inhumanity has become common place.
Such is life with the Whore.
The whore had her beginnings in Babel, when Nimrod sought to lead his people in erecting a tower, to reach the heavens. He was inspired by his wife Semiramis. The intends of the hearts of the people were noted in heaven. The Godhead moved and scattered the people.
“And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.”
Genesis 11:6-8 NKJV
When Nimrod died, his wife continued the work. Even though the people were scattered, each took a little bit of the dream with them. To this day, the influence of Nimrod and Semiramis can be found around the world, shown in the formation of pyramids and towers in diverse places, and seen by the evil of the whore and her fornications.
The whore is the world system we live in, with its morality becoming the standard for life on earth. She is the wooer of the beast, Satan, desiring to one day be by his side as he rules and reigns. But he has other plans.
When followers of Jesus consider the end times, we tend to skip over the Harlot, and focus on the Antichrist. In truth, by the time he arrives very few believers will be around, as some will have been raptured, and others killed through great tribulation. By the time of the appearing of the man of lawlessness, the Harlot will have intensified her purge of those who call upon the name of Jesus, a work that she has been committed to for nearly two thousand years.
Brothers and sisters, let us focus on the Lord and live lives defined by His word. Jesus told us ahead of time that we would be persecuted, and indeed, many of our brothers and sisters have been and are being killed for their faith.
How should we live.
There was a time when the establishment was defined as church going, moral, and conservative. We are living as Christians in a world going through a paradigm shift, as more have been flipped upside down. Those who seek to walk in the Spirit and live for Jesus have become the radicals.
As I have matured in the faith, I have found myself becoming more and more fundamentalist in my approach to my faith. I adhere to the simple message of the Gospel, and take the Bible for what it says. I eschew trendy thinking and methods, and the effort to be relevant.
The pressure to conform to the ways of the whore will increase in coming months, and maybe, years. We must stand against the backdrop of these current times, so that those who are lost can see the difference.
It is tempting to seek to blend in, to be apart of the greater world, in the hopes that we will be accepted. But, my people, it is time to come out from her. Her days are numbered.
“And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.”
Revelation 18:4-5 NKJV
““The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’”
Revelation 18:9-10 NKJV
The coming Antichrist will destroy the Harlot with one swift, nuclear blow. Western civilization and the global north will be obliterated, shifting the focus of the world’s power and attention to the Middle East and the pursuit of the nation Israel. A third of humanity will die.
The Antichrist will cannibalize what is left of the harlot system and make it part of his government, benefiting from the institutions and the great wealth.
Then Jesus will return and cast the antichrist and his minions into the lake of fire, thus destroy the last vestiges of the Harlot system.
Let us share the Gospel while we still can.
“After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.” Again they said, “Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!” And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, “Amen! Alleluia!””
Revelation 19:1-4 NKJV
