“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I have a simple life. It is very basic and complications are few. I rejoice in the fact that I seldom have to create contingency plans, or have plan Bs, and that I can easily predict how my day will likely go. I keep my spiritual life the same way. I get up, and go about my morning with my mind filled with the desire for the knowledge of God. Most days, I play worship music, pray and soak up the Scriptures. I do all of this with an eye to making disciples.

I have found that I am less and less likely to have much of an interest in the things of the world. I find that these concerns, worldy ones, are a distraction from my mission. God has empowered me to be an interscessor, one who lifts others to the throne room of God. I am ever so humbled by His selection of me. Each morning I am amazed as the Lord illuminates His truths from His word, and then commissions me to write a reflection.

I am surrounded by people who have wandered from their mission. Jesus came to earth, lived as humble God/Man in humble flesh, was rejected and died for our sins. He was buried and rose again. Because of Him, we are forgiven, repurposed from the pursuit of sin to servants of the Gospel.

He did not save us to be focused on political parties and presidents, nor did He mean for us to spend all of our time confronting the world through divided hearts, loving our own and hating the opposition.

He called us to preach the Gospel.

Believers, get on mission. Now is the time to turn our attention to the glorious God who sent His Son to save us. The political future is out of our hands, and in reality it has always been. After all the dust is settled, God will have His choice in the White House, whether it be a Joe Biden, or Donald Trump. Trust me, it doesn’t matter. God is sovereign.

Don’t worry about change coming anytime soon. Big money, banks, Wall Street, and big tech run this country, and it always will. Fortunately, we have a God that rules eternity and He is in ultimate control.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Brothers and sisters, there is coming a day soon when Jesus will come again. He will lay waste to all that do not call upon the name of the Lord. By that time, America will be gone, having imploded as a result of the division. We who believe must be about the Father’s business, sharing the Good News with whoever will hear. We must be about praying for all people, regardless of party, in the hopes that they come to Jesus and escape hell.

I have learned that my God loves me so much that He will remove all the idols from my life. I suspect that is what God is doing today. Many of us have idolized a man and placed Him ahead of God in our trust, in our hearts, and in our hopes. He is telling us to focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Time is short.

Burn your Biden signs, burn your Trump signs and embrace the cross of Christ. This world is nearing its end. If you are in to climate change, you are seeing it, if you are a Christian, you are seeing it. People of all walks of life have sense that it is all coming down.

Believers, be on mission! Tell the people about Jesus, do it now. Pray that God give you a BURDEN for the lost, that He give you OPPORTUNITY to share, that He give you BOLDNESS. It is urgent. The clock is ticking.

  1. “Jesus is the same,” no matter what else changes. He is so good! Wonderful and well-balanced reminder Bernie. Thank you so much for your faithfulness as you intercede my friend.
