All things possible

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Or who has ever first given to Him, and has to be repaid? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭11:33-36‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

All things possible

God’s ways are not our ways. His ways are not mine. In my weariness, I am not very patient. I see the evil that people do, and I want the fires to rain down from Heaven and burn everyone up. I have learned to pause and take a moment to look at situations through the eyes of Christ. I consider the heart of God and I marvel at the dimension and depth of understanding that He has.

His mind is truly unsearchable, completely unfathomable for one of flesh like me. His way is perfect. As I read and study, I am completely undone as I compare my lack of patience and depth to God’s grace.

Paul the Apostle had spent the previous passage explaining how God had grafted in the Gentiles and would again graft in His chosen people the Jews. From adversaries to members of one body. God is the unifier, the leveler, the one who brings harmony out of conflict. I can sense Paul’s excitement as he considered God’s amazing grace, so beyond the understanding of mere men.

I rejoice in the presence of the Holy Spirit in my life. I can look into the Scriptures and have the clarity to get a glimpse of the nature of God. Even with His help, I am limited. I am bound by my emotions, my earthbound desires, and all the trappings of mortality that draw away my attention. As my life has been simplified, I have more time for His word, and less ability to pursue the flesh. I am beginning to look into the mirror less darkly.

Through the lens of the word of God, I look to the situations happening in the world and I see the futility of mortals to solve problems only solved by the divine intervention of Most Holy God. Our world is being wrecked by all the evils of the world, from addiction, prevailing sexual perversion, confusion, and an open rejection of all things godly. Our world is devolving rapidly.

God is giving us a wake up call. Now is the time to pray, to preach, to teach and reach others with the message of the Gospel. He is giving those who are the called according to His purpose, a view of the reality of the times we are living in. It will require the intervention of the Gospel. We are spinning our wheels without Jesus.

Believers, take heart that God will bring the changes that are truly needed. I have seen God’s greatest miracles as I consider the lives of so many transformed. I have seen people with dead hearts raise to newness of life, I have seen dead relationships quickened. I have seen people changed by the power of the love of God. I myself am one of those. His love can spark the great outpouring that will draw many to Christ. Now is the time. We are fighting over the last few scraps of time as eternity is set to invade.

Just as God unites hearts that are disparate, He can unite all of us. Our God is untraceable, He is unfathomable, He is above all things, glorious, immutable, to Him be the glory forever!

The Gospel is simple.

“For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:3-4‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

In that resurrection, you can have newness of life, a life where you can be free of the draw of sin and free of the condemnation one faces outside of Christ. The impossible by flesh, becomes reality and the eternal accomplished.

Pray and ask Jesus to forgive your sins.

Experience the miracle of forgiveness today!
