“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.”
Psalms 46:1-5 NASB
I am one reliant on the daily help of God. For many, this is a new time, like no other faced before. For many believers this is the first time they have the testing that can come into a life. It is so easy to focus on the uncertainty and wonder where God is in all of this.
I know that He is faithful. He has truly been my refuge and strength through these many years where I have suffered the onslaught of our decaying world and the consequences of self destructive behaviors that marked much of my early life. In all the days I have lived. He has been there. At this very moment I am experiencing an indescribable presence that defies definition. I am filled with peace.
Believer, know that God is here for you. He will never abandon you and will go before you. He is in quarantine with you. We have a loving God who loved us so much that He sent His beloved Son to the cross, to die for our sins, to be buried, and raised from the dead. I sit here a sinner redeemed, saved from hell, and filled with God’s Holy Spirit. In Him I am never alone. Praise His Holy Name!
Do not fear, brother and sisters. Do not give into the pressure of the evil one who desires to drive you to doubt. Our God is greater than any virus, than any other threat that could ever come against us.
Take the time to read the Bible and see the faithfulness of God in black and white. He has given us this love letter to remind us of who He is and whose we are.
Tell someone about Him, remind people that there is a God and that He is in control. Behave as you truly believe that! I feel an amazing peace today. The same peace I felt yesterday. The same peace I felt years ago when doctors told me I had cancer. He has seen me through all the tough times, and will walk me step by shaky step into eternity when my work on earth is done.
I wake each day with hope based on the knowledge that Jesus will be with me. Such confidence only comes from Him.
Seek the Lord today. Come
What may, trial or struggle, sickness or hunger, you will not be moved. God is with you!
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.””
Joshua 1:9 NKJV
