“casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
I Peter 5:7 NKJV
How He cares!
So many people, so many needs, yet He cares for me. I know that I can cast my cares on Him and have confidence to believe that God will be in the midst of any issue I may face. That is a powerful thing to know in a world that is veering toward the abyss at ever increasing speed.
The truth is dazzling! Our God, the Creator of the Universe, cares about every aspect of all His creation, even the ones who, in their self importance, think they know better than He that created them.
Yet He still cares
He sent His Son to the earth to live to teach, be charged for our sins and die to as payment for that sin. On the third day He rose again, bringing new life into the world for those who repent of their sins and believe.
I know I can cast my cares on Him. I know He hears me when I pray and I am blessed daily with love and presence in my life.
Know that you matter to God. Out of the vast cacophony of voices shouting prayers, praises and curses, He is supernaturally able make out yours at its faintest. “Save me” as a whisper from the heart is heard amplified a million times in Heaven. Then Jesus marshals His power to deliver one to the Kingdom. That same power delivers me everyday.
Having the God of the Universe who cares for you is magnificent. I enter into life not knowing what is to come. There is daily strength and hope in living.
Having struggles and have no hope? Consider Jesus. Weary of the world and all it’s twists and turns, constantly mutating values? Consider Jesus.
Some point to government as the problem solver. You can’t cast your cares on the government, it won’t hear you and does not care. You are merely a case number. God cares even though we have made every effort to exclude Him from every aspect of our lives and worst yet, have sought to make Him in our image. He has shown persistence in loving a creation that increasingly shows no love for Him.
Yet He still cares.
“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”
