Truth

“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

I hate it when the Lord gives me a real time example of His biblical truth.

I am writing this from my hospital bed. A few days ago I started to feel unwell. Though receiving a kidney transplant is a miracle, my body must be continually able to keep it. As a result my immune system is purposefully compromised. In a nutshell, I get sick easy.

Methodist hospital has been my home more than I like. Depending on where I am, I know many of the nurses and aids.

Over the years, the passage above has been a regular in my lineup. Every struggle I have had has been for my good. He has carried me through each one and shown His love. I know that He is faithful.

Trust God in fiery trials. We don’t know the “why”. He does. He will use the hurt to make you stronger.
