Impossible

“And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19:26‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Impossible

Since I restarted the prayer chair I have gotten requests that have shaken me to the core. So many people are dealing with life altering situations that seem unbearable and prolonged with no end in sight. On the face of them, resolution seems impossible. At first blush everything seems hopeless.

Ours is a God of miracles.

We see the miracles best when we look back after we have journeyed through storm. Like people emerging from a destroyed home after a tornado, we are filled with wonder that we survived. Then we see the ways that the Lord has protected us and provided for us every step of the way. When we ponder the details we are reminded of the impossibility of survival. It had to be God.

In the beginning, when the dark clouds are forming and the winds increasing, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel of despair that we are entering. That’s where we have to seek He who knows the end from the beginning.

Prayer is absolutely essential. We cry out to a God who has given us access through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. Reading His word is just as important. It is the history of God’s faithfulness to His creation. I remember lying in a hospital bed at the Mayo Clinic with a tumor breaking through my third vertebrae and squeezing my spinal cord. I cried out to God all day and most to the night. When I wasn’t praying, I clung to my Bible. I pored over it all day. I still have that Bible, marked and battered, to remind me of the faithfulness of God and the battle that He won.

If you are facing a situation that seems impossible, remember that we have a God who does the impossible.

The greatest miracle He has done for me is the saving of my soul and the transformation of my heart. Run to Him! He is faithful!

THE PRAYER CHAIR IS OPEN! Send me your requests!
