Do not fear.
“So Israel set out with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will close your eyes.””
Genesis 46:1-4 NASB
The times are shaky. There seems to be little that we can count on. Everyday is filled with decisions that can mean a change in our lives. In the passage above Jacob, renamed Israel was faced with a major transition. He was faced with moving his family from the familiarity of Canaan to the total uncertainty of Egypt.
Believers in Jesus have comfort in knowing that no matter what happens, He walks with us. Sometime in the bad patches we find ourselves wondering. It is not until we look back that we can see the presence of God even in the darkest of times.
Do not fear.
Many of you reading this are in the midst of transition. The situation seems shaky and you don’t know how it all is going to pan out. Rest assured that God does. He knows the end from the beginning. He will walk with you in the beginning and all the way to the end. Take peace in that. God has placed me in the position to know that all too well. He is faithful. THE PRAYER CHAIR IS OPEN!
